Did you always know you wanted to be in healthcare?

Yes! My whole life. Both of my parents are physicians, so I always knew I wanted to help people.

Why did you decide to study physical therapy?

It seemed a great way to help people doing something WITH them, rather than TO them.

How many years have you been in healthcare?

About 27 total, across two professions: PT and Social Work

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Being able to help people regardless of where they live or how much money they make.

What is the most common misconception about pain management?

That pain automatically equals injury.

Outside of work, what do you like to do for fun?

I golf with my son and work on our garden.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Meet people where they are at, not where you think they are at.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?

I would go to Jamaica! Because the air smells like flowers.

What’s your favorite way to relax after a long day?

Spend time with my family, watching the Great British Bake Off.

What are you most thankful for?

I am most thankful for the privilege to help people.

What’s your go-to meal?

A bagel with the works!
