At Kaia, we want to make sure that you have the secret ingredient for success: a support system. That’s where our Kaia Coaches come in. Keep reading to discover how Kaia Coaching works, and how your coach can help you achieve your pain relief goals.
Kaia Coaches are certified health professionals dedicated to supporting you throughout your Kaia journey. Through 1:1 coaching sessions—available via telephone or the in-app Coach Chat feature—your coach will help you set goals and develop a realistic plan to succeed with your Kaia program. You can easily schedule your sessions in the upper right corner of your Kaia Care tab, or simply message us, and we’ll help you get scheduled!
Think of your Kaia Coach as your accountability partner. They’re here to help you discover new ways to manage pain and move closer to living the life you want. By focusing on your growth, strengths, and capacity for change, your coach will provide practical tips on how to seamlessly integrate the Kaia Health app into your daily routine.

Kaia Coaching is rooted in an intrinsic methodology, which recognizes that everyone is unique and already possesses the inner resources needed for success. This approach guides you in aligning your core values—what you deeply care about—with your goals and the actions you need to take to achieve them.
For example, entering a contest to win a minivan is an extrinsic motivation, while the desire to spend more time with family on road trips to state parks is an intrinsic motivation. By tapping into your core values and understanding what truly drives you (your “Why”), you gain the essential fuel to achieve your goals. This approach ensures that your goals are aligned with what is genuinely meaningful to you.
Sign-up and welcome:
After completing your onboarding with Kaia, you’ll be paired with your personal Kaia Coach within 24 hours. You’ll receive a welcome message in the Coach tab of your Kaia app, where we’ll begin getting to know you and understand your unique reasons for joining Kaia. And don’t forget to check your inbox for a welcome email from us with a link to easily schedule your first session!
Scheduling and sessions:
Through the Coach tab, you can schedule your first of 12 free coaching sessions. These sessions are designed to help you make the most of your Kaia journey, focusing on working smarter, not harder.
After your first six bi-monthly sessions, you’ll meet with your coach monthly to check in and keep up your progress. You’ll still have the flexibility to reach out to your coach anytime through the app, and you can message us between sessions as much as you need. Even if you don’t schedule 1:1 sessions, the Kaia Care tab is always there for you to stay connected with your coach.
Ongoing support:
Your Kaia Coach will be with you every step of the way, helping you create actionable steps to get from where you are now to where you want to be. You’ll focus on your wins, build upon your strengths, and find ways to work Kaia into your daily routine with small, doable steps. These steps are also known as SMART goals:
All Kaia Coaches are human. No chatbots here, we swear! Since Kaia Coaches are human, they work during normal business hours and make every effort to reply to questions as promptly as possible. If you need additional technical assistance with the app, please contact Kaia Customer Support at support@kaiahealth.com.
If your coaching session is via in-app chat
Simply log in to your Kaia app on your tablet or smartphone. Your Kaia Coach will send the first message to you in the Coach tab.
If your coaching session is via phone
Just answer your phone when your coach calls you at the scheduled time!
